  John Howle has taught English in the Georgia Public Schools for 25 years. Howle earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in journalism from the University of Alabama, a Master’s Degree in Language Arts from Jacksonville State University, and an Educational Specialists Degree from the University of West Georgia.

     Howle taught for 15 years at Haralson County High School in Tallapoosa, Georgia, where his students produced the nation’s only high school student produced Hunting and Fishing Magazine. After Haralson County, Howle came to Carroll County where he taught his first year at the alternative school. After that first year in Carroll County, Howle taught seven years at Bowdon High School before coming to 12-for-Life as an English instructor. Howle currently serves as 12-for-Life’s Curriculum Development Specialist.
